I wish to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but alas, I cannot.

So, I attempted to play Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but when starting the game up, I got this error:

What do? I would really appreciate the help, because I remember this game from a little while back and would liken to play again. From what I've seen, it's a rather common problem, but a difficult one.

M11x R2
Intel Core i7 CPU
Geforce GT 335m

My drivers are also up to date, and I'm running Windows 7 64bit.

Much appreciated :)

The fast and sure fix for nvidia users would be to hit up the NV control panel and turn the extension limit on. Unfortunately they removed that option (along with a bunch of others) with recent drivers for whatever reason.

You could roll back your drivers to like 18x or below, or download NHancer and set the opengl extension limit to 4844.

Opening up wolfconfig.cfg and changing seta r_glIgnoreWicked3D "0" to seta r_glIgnoreWicked3D "1" may also fix it.

I already changed the config setting, but I'm downloading nHancer now, we'll see if the works.

EDIT: Hmmmm, seems a new problem has arisen, when I attempt to start up nHancer, I get an error message saying

"The NVAPI reported no attached nVidia display in this system"

which is odd...

nhancer wasn't updated to work on the last year+ worth of nvidia drivers. I recommend a similar program, NVIDIA Inspector. It's not quite as user friendly, but gets the job done.

Yes... YES. VICTORY. Nvidia inspector worked like a charm, and it turns out the resolution I was setting the game at played a part as well. So many hours of looking for a solution and now I can finally play the game. Thanks fellas.
