But I have to admit, no, I'd rather not.
Especially if you talk like that there as well, shorts and 1337 speech ruin the atmosphere for me.

Personally, I like varience and new people. We've had maybe a max of 10 or so people Roleplaying since the switch to the new boards. And we've only had 1 entire RPG scenario, Lone Wanderers.
PyschoSniper, I'm interested. After I'm done with Lone Wanderers, I'm planning to make a new RPG with small replies (like a paragraph or two) to let newcomers join in. I think alot of new people are put off by the amount found in Lone Wanderers and I'd like to cater to them.

While I agree with Syphon that quick posts tend to get sloppy, I also agree with Gunslinger. The longer posts that we use for lone wanderers deters some people from posting.
I am opening up a new role play. But I hope that doesn't dissuade people from continuing with lone wanderers. From past boards the practice normally is that the short, quick role plays are fun but die out quick.
Lone Wanderers has had its lapses, but we have been doing this over a year now, and I think it may have a record for longest lasting role plays.
Gunslinger, you said after Lone Wanderers? The question I have for you is, how much more Lone Wanderers do you anticipate. I could see us doing easily another 4 chapters.
I also agree with gunslinger, we need to be more accommodating to new ideas. Personally I won't do an instant message RP, but that's because I feel a commitment to Lone Wanderers and one can't spend their time everywhere and you need to make choices. I will stick with Lone Wanderers for now.
But I think the idea posed here is an interesting one and is worth exploring.

Y'all, all I was looking for was a quick RP for fun, nothing long. Just something to introdue me to Y'all while we find a way 2 get my characther in lone wanderers.
Anyway, when the storymaster gets on, could you ICQ me please ? Or post on the site I realy dont care which, so we can find a way 2 work my characther (minus the gauss weaponry) into lone wanderers.
