[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Jan-04-01 AT 06:35PM (GMT)[p]This idea may be a bit unrealistic but I thought it would be kinda cool. Remember old school Bon Jovi? They wrote two songs; Wanted: Dead or Alive and Blaze of Glory. Sometimes when I get into a battle in one of the games I put one of these songs on. I think they are the perfect atmosphere setter. Now am I off my rocker here or wouldn't one of these songs (Blaze of Glory preferably) be great as an intro music for Fallout 3? Would Interplay ever spring for a Bon Jovi label? Probably not but I just wanted to know if I was the only one who had ever thought of this. Here are the words to Blaze of Glory (tell me this dosen't scream Fallout):

*******************************************************

I wake up in the morning
And I raise my weary head
I've got an old coat for a pillow
And the earth was last night's bed
I don't know where I'm going
Only God knows where I've been
I'm a devil on the run
A six gun lover
A candle in the wind

When you're brought into this world
They say you're born in sin
Well at least they gave me something
I didn't have to steal or have to win
Well they tell me that I'm wanted
Yeah, I'm a wanted man
I'm a colt in your stable
I'm what Cain was to Abel
Mister catch me if you can

Chorus:
I'm going down in a blaze of glory
Take me now but know the truth
I'm going out in a blaze of glory
Lord I never drew first
But I drew first blood
I'm no one's son
Call me young gun

You ask about my conscience
And I offer you my soul
You ask if I'll grow to be a wise man
Well I ask if I'll grow old
You ask me if I've known love
And what it's like to sing songs in the rain
Well, I've seen love come
And I've seen it shot down
I've seen it die in vain

Chorus 2:
Shot down in a blaze of glory
Take me now but know the truth
'Cause I'm going down in a blaze of glory
Lord I never drew first
But I drew first blood
I'm the devil's son
Call me young gun

Each night I go to bed
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
No I ain't looking for forgiveness
But before I'm six foot deep
Lord, I got to ask a favor
And hope you'll understand
'Cause I've lived life to the fullest
Let this boy die like a man
Staring down a bullet
Let me make my final stand

Chorus

************************************************************

Hearing it with the music makes it feel even better. Listen to the song and you'll see what I mean.

(Er, posting this isn't against any rules is it?)

OK here goes: IT doesn't scream Fallout! j/k
It's pretty good but I think it should be more in line with the other two songs. I think it should be "We'll meet again". Have you seen the movie "Dr. strangelove"?

"Call me a vagabond, and I'll smile. Call me a thief, and I'll laugh. Call me a liar, and I feed you your liver."

You suck and you should die!... J/K :-)

Well, I think they are good songs, and the lyrics may hold relation to the FO world, but I think that the theme for FO3 should be in keeping with the others. That is to say, it should be retro.

Also, they really can't pick a song until they have a plot. If you'll notice, the other two beginning songs related in some way to the song, if you really look at the lyrics for meaning.

(I think that it's pretty obvious to all that the G.E.C.K. is the "kiss to build a dream on", and the theme from FO1 can be viewed not only as referring to the war, but also to the vaultdweller. Don't ask me how I extrapolated that from the song, as most of you aren't stupid enough to follow my train of thought.)

hmmmmmm. 'Nebraska' by Bruce springsten reminds me of the wasteland.

Na, not Bon Jovi! PERFECT Fallout songs are The End by The Doors and Knocking on heavens Door. OK, knockin on heavens door isn't sooo perfect, but The End fits the atmosphere perfectly.

We are from the West. The world we suggest should be of a new wild West, a sensuous, evil world, strange and haunting. The path of the sun.

Jim Morrison

'Imagine' by john Lenon!
The tune isn't very fallout-ish, but the Lyrics are.
It talks about No religion, NO countries, NO greed and No heaven. imagine a huge mushroom cloud explosion to the music of imagine (with the explosion sounds muted.)
it talks about perfect peace. 9kinda like what happens after a nuclear apocalypse.)

'You're not a hero. Your just a walking corpse'
Frank Horrigan, Fallout II

I agree. It was always some kind of irony with the music. Like in the first part this happy sounding song while you see all these destroyed buildings and this TV advert for this car that nobody could buy.
