I'm afraid

I suppose that you know Oblivion, the next Elder Scrolls game from Bethesda.
Well, this mage is gonna be released for Xbox 360 and PC and they are including in game things like Dinamic Compassfor pointing you to active quests and points of interest (is not an option, is mandatory) because devs say that you will need that compass to follow the NPC's indications.

Bethesda is developing Fallout 3 and I'm really afraid that they make a game for casual players like Oblivion will be.

I hope I'm really wrong about F3, abd I hope also that F3 will not be released in console.

I think Sir_Fred is saying along the lines of, he hopes that Bethesda dont make another FOPOS - Correct me if I'm wrong. I doubt Beth would be stupid enough to do something like that, or at least I hope.

I have faith.

Thanks, that is but my english is not good.

I hope you are right, but seeing the features about Oblivion and the official forums... not sure.

I'll admit that I'm not a fan of Morrowind, but I wouldn't call it a game made for casual players. I remember it took me hours of playing the game to feel as if I was actually progressing with it, which is one of the major gripes I had with the game itself.

I think Morrowind pleased the hardcore TES fanbase (you'll have to verify this one, I was never a TES fan full stop) because it has to this day retained quite a large community. So if Bethesda listen to the Fallout community hopefully we'll have a sequel worthy of the Fallout name.

Another one of these?
Look, we can't know anything about how Oblivion are going to do this. They've got a full team working on Fallout 3, for as far as I know, and they haven't given us much information.
It will most likely be on console platforms as well as the PC, but this doesn't necessarily mean much for the quality of the game. Although it is true that certain concessions will probably be made due to the rather odd way in which the new consoles technically work and the limitations put forth by their controllers.

But, I repeat, we can't really know much about the result. If you just came here to post 'Oh noez I'm afraid' you might as well go away, because that's completely useless. Join in on some of the discussions going on, search the forums, contribute to threads, but saying you're afraid isn't going to help in any way.

I'm honestly more afraid of a fallout MMORPG.

There is a profound realization that accompanies the playing of an MMORPG; it is played by fans of MMORPG's.

And I for one would keel over and die the minute I heard someone chat in game "WTB UR POWER ARMOR 4 CHEAP." (I would like to point out that the filter is providing an unfair assessment of my linguistic capabilities as I am fully aware of the differences between you're and your and am merely using the U R as an illustration of the stupidity of most MMORPG players).

Interplay is the real enemy in my mind. Bethesda is a benign neutral at this point.
