I'm Completely New to Fallout. Help!

First time out of the vault
So I just began my journey into Fallout and pretty much all CRPGs in general. I've literally never played anything like this before, but I'm already having quite a bit of fun doing so. My friend and I started a blog to chronicle our gaming progress, and I've started my Fallout posts. It would be awesome if some of you could stop by and offer any advice you might have to help me along my way!

Cool! Always good to see a LP, especially from a first-timer!

Fun fact: Did you know that you can solve the Radscorpion quest by blowing up the entrance to their lair with dynamite?

edit: also, it looks like you're doing alright, so no need for spoilers or builds.

I will say this: No points in gambling. Ever. You'll get rich eventually, don't worry.
