[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Jun-28-00 AT 06:39PM (GMT)[p]I read what Hell's Patrol wrote about the Children of the Cathedral being creepier than the Enclave, and it made alot of sense. And since I'm guessing that BiS is going to make a sequel instead of a prequel, I made up an (incomplete) plot where the Technology can actually go backwards. (I am NOT talking about Time Machines) Here's the plot:

Since in the game, (I'm guessing) NCR expanded by getting a foothold in the Northern Wastes with Vault 15, NCR would expand to North California, also. Well, Tandi isn't going to live forever, and since most of the expansion (and keeping the territories in control) was because of her, there is probably going to become some upheavel by the territories. Well after she dies, NCR (which is very large by now) is flooded with different political parties, not to mention revolution. During this troubled times, a puppet (metaphorical) canidate is elected, one who endorses dictarship as a means of control during the troubled times. When he shows signs of letting up, he is kicked out by the person who is controling him (again, metaphorical). This person, whose identity isn't revealed until the end of the game, is backed by a cult. This cult, which believes in purifying the people, slows down technological research. Soon, some of the old tecnology is forgotten. The cult quickly establishes control. This is where the game starts (Fallout 3). The game starts with a cutscene, a flashback with your parents being murdered by the endgame boss. Then, you are briefed by your adopted parent. You find out that your peaceful faction is being attacked, by the cult. You find out that you have to end the cult, (which is based on order), in order to free NCR. (All the plots I thought of involved one person against the world/country/government type plot. Sorry) You are also told to meet with a contact in New Reno, which is now a police state (since they were the first to revolt) There is only a small area run by the mob. Then after visiting some other cities/towns/farms, you come across an old Enclave base, closed off by vents (or something like that). After opening the vent, you find alot of corpses piled near the now openend vent. You find the location of the NORAD base, which leads you to San Fransisco. San Fransisco is independent, but also a police state. Then somehow you are lead to the cult center, where you find out that the cult leader is an old man, barely hanging onto his life. With a high speech skill, you might be able to convince him to let you go (activating an explosive later) or with a high sneak skil, you could activate the explosive right away.) Or you could fight the endgame boss, (which is a normal human).

Any thoughts on this plot?

Why do all plots have to involve parents being killed is there something anti parent around or what? Anyway part from that it sounds okay, but I found that the CoC were a bunch of wimps that I wiped out in FO1 with ease. So maybe they should at least have some good power armour or something.

I had an idea very similar to this so i endorse it all the way... cults are fun for the entire family...

Their educational AND fun!!!
anyway, I also enjoy fighting a more realistic threat. I find fighting a power hungry manipulative , yet charismatic dictator much more enjoyable than some pathetic mutant freak, or a bunch of misguided, but well meaning grunts. This could also make things more interesting because as a cult, they would attract a large following of citizens. Part of your goal would be to NOT destroy the cult (that would make martyrs of them) but to possibly publicly denounce their leader and proove to the people that he realy is evil or what ever. there would of course be the option of killing them all for when you got bored and drank too much Jolt ;)

P.S. excuse the spelling

Why not have a cult of alien worshiping weirdoes who want to help them take over the earth and you're the a ex-cult member who rebelled cause you saw your parents being offered as a human sacrifice to the aliens.
