Thanks to Deadlus we know have an interesting new pic for you guys and girls, taken from a wall on the Black Isle Studios headquarters:

So the logo for Fallout3 we saw on the Gasbot seems to be for real, and there`s new vehicles such as cars.
We`ll have to wait a bit on more information about this pics, but again thanks Deadlus

New York?

That picture of those two buildings look like what used to be the world trade center. However its being rebuilt, therefor i assume in that new york in the future will have the towers. I hope this means Fallout is going east NY BABY!

Don't tell me there's a woman in a vault suit, it looks rather like some X-Men character to me :) I'm assuming that we're talking about this pic.

Oh yeah, i`ll try to zoom and do a bit of anti-aliasing tomorrow, now i´m just beaten.

P.S.: we love you deadlus :D

Fallout isn't our future. In fact, Fallout isn't our past for the last five decades, either.

Sigh

I know its not our future man. Im saying that obviously fallout is a futuristic game, and does not change past events. My point, is that according to the fallout world, about 60 yrs from now the great war occurs. By the time this happens, the new WTC will already be built. Assmuming that all events before the fallout bible timeline that occurs is the "real" future, the WTC will be rebuilt, and we will continue on with our lives. Please dont try to humiliate me if that was your purpose, especially because the WTC was built in 1972, and you said "5 Decades", this means 50 years.

If you were not trying to humiliate me, then i apologize, just take this post as a minor correction to yours.

Yeah, but again another version of that pic that we have has some words saying Denver, wich indicates that it isn`t N.Y. .

It`s this one

Ah i didnt see that. Thats perculiar how the cars are set up though. I question the realism, I dont think those cars would exactly be visable after a nuclear blast, i mean they would, but i would think they would be more screwed up than that. I know when a nuke hits, the windows implode from the shockwave, so maybe thats the only damage that reached that area?

Can it be that the nuclear blast took place too far away to directly hit those cars and they were shut down by the EMP pulse?

This would explain why the cars are still "in formation".

One thing... why would a foreign power bomb Denver? I mean, i guess if they bombed every major city denver would be included, but maybe not all the cities were destroyed. people would basically panic/loot/riot throughout the city. That would explain the cars. but anyway, why do we care whats going on in the ruins of denver in the first place?

Apparently, they think Denver will be a nice place to hold Fallout 3. I can't say I disagree, since everything can be interesting in a post-nuclear war(well, almost everything.).

However.....CARS!!! Working freaking cars with _ miniguns_ on top of them? Damnit, what is that? Haven't they heard of something called _resource-depletion_??? Grumble, action people, bah.

Fallout has an alternate past.

I’m not really liking the mini-gun on the souped-up blue monster-car. The monster-car concept itself is cool, but the mini-gun on top of it isn’t the best idea. The reason I don’t like it is because it will imply you will be able to drive around town with the car, and I don’t like that idea. Reminds me too much of Tactics.

Alternate past as well? Didnt know that. I stand corrected then. If the cars were shut down by emp blast and not touched by the bomb, then the bomb couldnt of hit the city. However, from the pictures it looks as though the city was hit. I personally think that denver would not have been hit, but food riots prob would happan there, which could explain the cars, and the buildings destroyed means the buildings were not maintained properly for about 100 yrs. That could be what happened, but either way its cool. I dont like the minigun ontop of the truck thing either. I just hope fallout 3 will have things original, unlike fallout 2, its just a continuation of fallout 1.
