Interesting mod idea

SkynetV4

Mildly Dipped
Seeing that someone made a mod that enabled a non-leveling NPC, level up in fixed intervals, do you think its possible to make a mod to get all the recruitable NPCs level up at fixed intervals? Why should the mod be made, you ask? To avoid reloading 10^48 times to get the most NPC levelups per each of your levels. I still don't understand why didn't the devs choose fixed intervals or experience amounts to levelup the NPCs. This is what annoys me the most in Fallout 2.

Sorry, but you misunderstood my mod notes. If you look in Data\data\Party.txt, you'll see each possible npc listed. each has an entry for "level up every x PC levels". I was referring to this. Sulik is every three, Cassidy & Vic every 4. Miria every three.

This figure isn't a fixed definition - rather, I think it acts as a modifier.

For example :

Cassidy_levelfreq = 3
Cassidy_levelfreq = Cassidy_levelfreq-Num_Of_Levels_Skipped

Chance_Of_LevelUp=100/Cassidy_levelfreq

Therefore, with Vic=4, the first time you level with him in your party, he has 25% chance of also levelling up.

Then again, I'm talking out of my arse so don't take this as gospel. ;'D

Just to have some save fun, try levelling up the ENTIRE party with the Cult of Personality mod + your mod (CoP mod enables you to recruit ALL of the CNPCs and have them at the same time...the max I have gotten was 5 simultaneous levelups after 78 reloads). ;p
