Interplay says previews are reviews

First time out of the vault
i don't know. maybe this hasn't been talked about because it's old news or it's a general practice in the industry or not interesting, but i asked Interplay why the hell they're calling the Games Domain and GameOver previews reviews instead of previews at the FO:BoS press page

http://www.interplay.com/fbos/press.html

they're telling me that the official company stance is; if the writer was previewing final review code of FO:BoS, that means the preview is actually a review. is this a loophole so they can print quotes from rah-rah preview garbage on the DVD liner?

"gameplay that i can only compare to crack rock!"

Happens all the time with crappy games, movies, books, etc. It's to distract people from seeing how terrible the product is. Usually they use semi-anonymous people, and claim they are from a respected publication. I'm not surprised they would use this trick on this game.
