Invisible Reavers

Drglord

First time out of the vault
I get invisible reavers. My squads sees them and kills them but i don't see bodies just their blood floating around. I think something is wrong with the sprites.
I reinstalled it but no...
I have the patch 1.27...
I am running XP

Do a full 360 of the area with the blood. I've noticed some very strange line-of-sight problems with the game.

Okay i will make it clear. It is some kind of graphic problem.
Where there should be reavers there is no sprites. I kill them in every encounter i get.
If i get reaver and mutants i only see mutants and they fight each other. I spill their guts as the text says but no reaver sprites.
And to be exact whenever a mission has reavers they are invisible to me but not to my charactes ofcourse who simply kill them.

I think I had that problem too. There are a couple possible solutions but you may have to go to a previous save after trying them. Unpack the entities and sprites from the *.bos files using Winzip. This will extract the sprite and entity files to your hard drive in the Fallout Tactics/core/ directory. This alone may do the trick. Otherwise go into the entity editor and open the reaver entities and check to see if a sprite is attached. Make changes as necessary and save it.

The other option is to download the missing sprites patch and install it.

I have already downloaded the missing sprite patch but no...
i have extracted the sprites but no...
I have looked with the editors and all raider entities are there with their sprites.

Are the sprites showing in the entity editor and also the level editor on that specific mission?

Yap they are showing on both it's kind of crazy cause i get them also in random encounters.

I finally figured it out. Well windows98 didn't help.
The problem is the full install. As soon as i did a medium installation everything went to normal. So if anyone else has the same problem the solution is the medium installation. I myself made 3 iso files of the disk and loaded them in a virtual drive so as not to lose in speed.

K, good deal. Did you install the game to the default directory on the full install?? Maybe that was part of the problem if you didn't.

Well yes i didn't but doesn't it sound stupid? I remembered that last time i played it i hadn't made a full installation so i did the medium and boom...
