Interplay have won an award it's called Warshaw Awards 2003, here's what award they won:<blockquote>The Save Costs by Killing Off Your Best Asset Award
Winner: Interplay

Last week it was revealed that Interplay (who for reasons unknown to me is still alive and kicking), has canceled Fallout 3 and dismantled what remained of the once great Black Isle Studios. Instead, Fallout fans can look forward to Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, a game that is nearly identically named to Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, but is in fact totally different, and will be released for PS2 and Xbox. Platforms, it should be pointed out, which the earlier Fallout titles have never been released on. Meanwhile PC gamers, who are the real market for the franchise, have nothing to look forward to. Good job, Interplay. Good luck pulling out of that financial nosedive.</blockquote>HAHA!!

 I doubt it's even hit him or the other clueless Interplay execs yet Darque...I'd love to see him in a year or so when it finally does, and they find themselves out of a job though. In most circumstances I would never wish for someone to find themselves out of work, but you can only be so stupid before you gotta face the consequences.

WTF!!

LOL Congrats Iply you most certainly deserve it!

On a semi-related note go here: http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/233325.asp and leave a nasty review to save to poor un-informed console gamers

 Oy.... how can those people be so ignorant, it seems so impossible for a human being to be sooo STUPID. The Interplay execs, these complete morons who apparently have been locked up in their parents basements to long to know whats going on, WHATS THIS WORLD COMING TO!!!

 It just pisses me off.... :badmood:

Wow, they posted what I said back in November. heh. Someone could stand to update that saying that Fallout 3 was actually killed by Fallout Enforcer.

Considering that Fallout 3 was slowed down because IPLY was pulling people away from that project to work on assets for Fallout Enforcer, then they cancelled Fallout 3 because they didn't think it would meet schedule, I think it's entire fair to say Fallout 3 was killed by Fallout Enforcer.

Not to mention this was the final straw for Josh Sawyer quitting iplay, when they started pulling people away from VB

Just left a poor, not nasty review. It doesn't deserve to be dragged through the mud, drawn and quartered. Dragged through the mud definitely. (Interplay however, there's just nothing I can describe what should happen to them).

The game itself actually is pretty bad, uninspired from the core. Average graphics, too simple gameplay, and a bastardized Fallout setting. Seems just like every other PC-console port that wasn't actually taken from PC code.

I'm not giving this game a chance in hell of saving IPLY it won't sell many copies like Dark Alliance did, for the simple fact that Fallout is more of a name associated with more hard core gamers like us. D&D however is popular with a lot more people and that's why that game succeeded. Dark Alliance and BOS are very similar games and both are mildly entertaining, but not deserving of the names that are on the packages.

just my two cents.
