Is it possible for the Hubologist space launch to succeed?

Question

First time out of the vault
I just thought of something, lets say that you are playing a stupid character,so the BOS fixs up the tanker for you. Then you take mentats/give intelligence perk/that module thingy in BOS base to gain a high enough intel to talk normally, and then you give the fuel to the hubologists. Will the ending say the hubologist space launch suceedd or anything?

Is this even possible?

Just thought of something else.....what if you NEVER enter vault 13......thus not triggering the arroyo kidnap variables.....you play a stupid char, and BOS fixs up the tanker for you.You then head off to the enclave, finish the game, come back.....will arroyo still be the pre-kidnap arroyo?

The Arroyo kidnap is triggered automatically after a certain date, when you get the 4th dream from Hunuken. You need the FOB to get the tanker to work, you get the FOB from Navarro, and to get Navarro on your map, you need Arroyo to be kidnapped first.

The Hubologists probably would not have succeeded, even if they had the fuel, for reasons listed in the Chi's computers.

Are you certain of that, Calc? Can't Matt put Navarro on the map for you?

Regarding the Hubologist endings, the ending never appears in the game, no matter what. Even if it did, it wouldn't be a good one; all 3 endings drawn up (I think) are failures.

I can extract them from text files later and post them.

Agree to that... the Enclave was just a tad to modern in all ways to fit well IMHO, a more beaten, rundown version on the mainland would have been more suitable....

Dunno whats so wrong about the enclave being modern,it was a modern oil rig(the last i think) that was intended to be the hiding place of the governments leaders, along with their families and the requisite soldiers.

It would have been stocked with the latest technology at the time, along with everything needed to survive(food, water dispensers, etc),as long as with manufacturing facilities for weapons, ammo and armor as the government probably believed in keeping themselves covered from all contigencies.Plus it would help in going to the hostile mainland.

Ever been to an oilrig ? No way all those facilities would fit in there, and oilrig demand very much maintainance....

It was a friiggin big Oil Rig.

Also, if you want to discuss the possibility of living at one, i'll split this into General Fallout Discussion.
