Is The Earth Growing?

Im too tired right now to analyze this effectively, But I'm calling bullshit on this. Where did the extra mass to increase the size of the earth come from? The landmasses fit together when you shrink the planet... Whoopdie doo. I can prove mathmatically that you cannot leave the room your in right now, ever. OOOOooo, You have a nice voice that helps sell your opinion. YAY! Anyways, more later.

God flooded the earth while it was small, he had to expand the earth so it the waters would subside...thats a new theory about creation i just thought of, im a strong creationist, even before this conspiracy

hypothetically speaking, if less dense rock was escaping from the earth core and cooling near the surface, couldn't the earth get bigger in a miniscule sort of way?

That is what happens at the mid-Atlantic trench in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, hot, light rock forces it's way through the trench and cools to form denser, larger rock, forcing the trench to get wider every year. It's a problem for when the rock gets subducted back into the mantle at the coasts of the African and American continents, though.
 
Wait. First he explains that the fish fossils come from the land, which means they were under water at some point, then he goes on to explain that trees spread across the continents because they were closer together when the earth was smaller?

But if the earth was smaller and the water was the same (relative to total landmass), the joined continents would have been partially under water, so the whole picture is wrong.

Unless, of course, the water came from someplace else!

Maybe it was Xenu's doing.

The Earth didn't grow. Actually the whole universe shrank.
 
The only logical reason the earth would do this is if the core was increasing in temperature, causing crust to melt and expand the size of the earth. "LULZ! AL GORE WAS RIGHT". But it is true that other terrestrial worlds do not have the same amount of techtonic activity that the Earth does, so the argument could be somewhat valid. But the fact remains that the guy narrating the video wants to convince you he is right and all the other scientists are apart of a "GIANT conspiracy", Which makes me not want to take his argument seriously. To prove a conspiracy, you need to have facts forming upwards towards signs of a conspiracy. There are none known at all, and the guy keeps lulling people with his mystical sounding silver tongue about "DA ILLUMINATI SCIENTISTS"

You have a general point there. Alot of this information being spewed left and right from different sources causes confusion within the population, allowing others to achieve questionable agendas.... In generalization.
 
I find this interesting. While the guy is an obvious wacko he has some points.

Obvious question is how is the volume increased without changing mass and with a cooling core temperature.

As far as I know there is only one thing that acts like that. Hydrogen forming crystals. Sooo the core is a giant dimond? The Core anyone?

Yeah, I think I'll stick with the current theory.

Well hypothetically speaking, as tectonics activities are happening, the less dense rock gets pushed to the top and becomes more firm, supporting the weight of the crust better and reducing the amount of pressure per square inch of weight on the core, allowing the core to expand. The core is, after all, under tremendous amounts of pressure, and if that pressure is relieved it WILL expand. Compressed core is decompressing as the tectonic activities rearrange the balance of minerals in the crust.

If the heaviest parts of the crust move back into the core, and the least dense parts of the core move up to the crust, then we have a lighter crust.
