JESawyer on cut Legion content (formspring)

Mr Fish

Slippy sloppy, The
I went through some old stuff and realized I had this screenie from the old FOrmspring post. Figured it might be interesting for those who wondered what the plans were for the other side of the river of the Mojave map but never got to read this post of his.

Has that seen the light of day before? Nice find by the way.
Yep, it was on a public site called Formspring back in the day where he communicated some ideas he had about FNV at the time. He wouldn't go too far into it to establish anything concrete however. There was also a thing in the FNV Game Guide book that mentioned a role for female legionnaires called "priestess", their role was effectively to be teachers and brood mothers to children of the Legion and other women to teach them the values of Legion culture, ethics, morals and laws.

That's as much as we know about the Legion's homelands beyond what the game itself tells us tells us.

Ah, here: https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Joshua_Sawyer_Formspring_posts
You can read his posts in a transcribed format there.

I do remember an interview years ago where he mentioned that folks in Legion territory where pretty safe.
I think it's an interesting idea and one that I would have liked to have seen explored.

If a New Vegas sequel ever did happen (and not taking the TV show into account), I think it would be interesting to explore the fallout of the death of Caesar and how those territories react to a crumbling legion. Maybe there is some kind of spite for the Courier while others look up to them like a folk hero.

I can imagine dedicated aspects of those areas forming their own copies of the legion, but not having the charisma or power to really pull it off.
Actually, I should write that in a fanfic at some point...
