Jin-Roh Armor

Colt

Vault Dweller
I made these based off of an image from what I think is the Japanese manga for Jin-Roh. I figured the armor might be of some interest to Fallout fans since it's everything but powered armor.

This one is based off of the full, uncropped, image I found after making the second one from a small cropped version.

This is the first one I did, the first image like this ever, that I based off of just a cropping of the torso before I found the full image (which was even smaller). I like the full body shot better:

Nice, one of the only animes I was able to watch. The entire deal is very german. The helmets all through the movie are german, and the goverment forces you see are using MP40s, FG42s, and mauser and luger pistols.

One issue with the pic, the Capitol Pilice used MG42s or MG34s which are very boxy. You have his MG with a rounded upper receiver and heatshield, it should be square. Other than that, very nice.

Reminder: 90% of the architecture in Jin-Roh was based on pre- and post-war Warsaw.

That is all.

Thanks for the replies. For some reason I forgot to mention in the original post... these were both drawn with pen and ink (an inkwell) and obviously a chisel-tip Sharpie on the one for the background. There are backgrounds available for both: Here and here and colored version (less bright) here.

Yeah, I know about it being based on Warsaw and other cities. Even if you don't like anime, this might catch your attention. It's pretty mature and tragic.

It's an MG34... The receiver on it is squared on the top an the sides though it's hard to tell because of the shadows and the heatshields on MG34s were only round. That portion that is rounded looking in front of the belt feed cover is the part that connects the barrel shroud and receiver . Admittedly, however, I did not spend that much time on the actual MG34's details considering that most peopel wouldn't give a damn and at the size of the original drawing would have made it hard to ink them. Not worth it. - Colt

Damn, that's sweet. It looks like a Helghast with an LMG... now I know what Killzone used to design the Helghi ;)
