Thank you for pointing out the irony of my last statement, I should have said "Why can't they let old stupid poorly written franchises die?"

Do you really want to know? Or are you trying to ask a rhetorical question?

...We've done this! Even so, I'll say it in this thread as well... I'm seeing this movie.

I miss those 80 gore sci-fi film. Okie Rambo is not sci-fi but still has some gore action.
The last good gore sci-fi film I seen is Total Recall

I just love how it *does not* take place in the Middle East. I'm still a man who belives that foreigners deserves a good beating every once in a while, but if I want to see Tusken Islamists (AAAARGH! *holds rifle above head with both hands*) get their asses kicked, I can just switch the channels and watch the news.

Old crusty Rambo whooping ass again.

Please take that in the most gay way as possible.

A plead to you all. END THIS WRITERS STRIKE! END IT NOW!

I heard somewhere that hes now protecting christian missionaries determined to spread the word.

John Rambo is ......... Warrior of God.

John rambo better kill someone with a broken light bulb, some scotch tape and a rubber ducky.

Pure old violence, although i dont remember heads exploding and bodies getting torn apart in the rambo films like THAT.

Nothing in the Rambo series will impress me more than the ending of First Blood

Rambo: Itwasn'tmywaritwasyourwar!Ididn't wannadothethingthatwasgonnahafflegaffleVIETNAM![/stallone]

General: Okay crazy, we're sending you back for another stint!

The original was pretty good. It was based on a book by David Morrell. Most of what Morrell writes is spy thrillers- League of Night and Fog, Brotherhood of the Rose, the Fifth Profession. Ok, but it tends to get repetitive.

Morrell recently won a Stoker for Creepers. A story of urban explorers getting into trouble. Honestly, the book had too many hokey coincidences for my liking.

But I think his best book was Testament - a story about a journalist who becomes targeted by a right-wing militia and flees into the mountains with his family, militia on his tale. There is an exerpt in the link that gets the story going well.
