just got Wasteland 2 DC for ps4. love it already!

Soapstone

It Wandered In From the Wastes
i found a used copy at a local second hand shop where i lived, for $16. the first i ever heard of the series was back when someone mentioned it to me on here just before fallout 4 came out.

i just completed doing 1 of the first 2 repeater quests, i have to say that took FOREVER! and i am now around lvl 6-7, i still got a little bit of mopping up to do with the last few baddies in the area and getting poison cleaned out of the hallway with the 5 fans in Ag Center, after i get some more supplies i will be moving to Highpool.

as i never played the original Wasteland, is Wasteland 2 DC more newbie friendly due to it being so many yrs since the first game came out? do i have to know what happened in the first game or will i be told about it?

I've not picked it up in weeks, I really need to get around to completing it.
But yes, it's very newbie friendly, I have the original on Steam, and it's a bit of a pain to play these days.
But get a lot of backstory told to you in small bits.

Essentially, from what I can gather in the first game, there was a Cyborg problem and 4 desert rangers went out and stopped them. In the end they blew up their base.
A number of the original desert rangers appear in the second game.

You'll get updated on what else happened as you go through the game, but for now, that's really the important stuff.

thats what i had the feeling of when talking to vargas and angie, wasnt sure though. i like that it tells you what went down right in the beginning of the game. btw, is there any perks by playing the pc version over the console version? i know that you get more patches and sometimes custom addon content for the pc version as opposed to console.

I don't know, I got the PS4 version myself, I want to get it on PC however some where down the line (it really doesn't require much tech wise to play it).

i saw that, i have it on my wishlist so i can get notified when it comes down in price. i dunno if i wanna get the first game though, i hate the typed commands of the old games. i bet wasteland 2 works better with mouse control so you can actually select the objects and people you want to interact with better.

sent you friend requests on steam, psn and FB, btw.

Ah cheers man.
But yeah, the original Wasteland isn't that bad (I think you get bundled when you buy W2 on Steam anyway).

It's more the fact that you're not given much to work on (as in you have no idea where to go or what you're doing).
The Graphics are okay through once you used to them (as in how dated everything is).
