Knocked down.... How's it Work??

Wondering what the formula is for being knocked down or knocking a monster down.

Endurance prevents a lot, I can see that.

some say Stonewall Perk is -50% chance of being knocked down. I wonder if it's more than that and how do people even know that if the formula isnt commonly known in the first place.

Not a soul seems to know. I didnt think that was possible!

I know somethings like encounters and Ranger skill/explorer arent readily accessible. Maybe this is one of those types?
