Leetspeak in threads, pros and cons

why are the mods so anti-leet anyway? It never seemed to be that bigger internet fad compared to say OMGSMILEYSDD or something.

cue welsh saving the day by deleting everything and shaking index finger around.

Anti-leet? Personally I never liked it. I also think it's a good thing worth avoiding. A language best for geeks who need some other way to communicate since girls won't talk to them.

And the only threads were we do delete is in the picture threads and only when there is a problem with the picture or thread. Ok, so we delete double posts as well.

Meg, all you seem to do these days is bitch, bitch, bitch. Really, you are starting to sound like a cranky grandma who hasn't gotten any in ages and is desperate for a little action.

I just think it's kind of played out and boring. It can be a little funny still, but I just think there isn't much more you can say about it or make fun of that hasn't been said on 20 million web pages already. I get your point, and maybe I vatted that one a little too quickly, but I think that thread would have turned into a big wreck or died pretty quickly even if I didn't vat it. Going by what Odin said above any future threads about it aren't going to be removed, but I honestly don't think that they're going to be very interesting either.
