I haven't read much along the lines of discussion on this topic so I'll just start on in, hopefully I won't get burned if this has been asked and answered.
What is this boards opinion on length vs. depth. i.e. The number of choices as one rolls along compared to the total length of the game itself?
One will probably have to suffer at the expense of the other as I don't think Interplay will finance the long gestation period and/or large staff required to emphasize both.
I would like to see a game with more breadth. Choices that seem to be dead ends or severely limit gameplay could be expanded, like becoming a gangster or slaver or a merc for a township. I wouldn't mind having a shorter game in exchange for more flexability which would lend itself to multiple replayings, that would be nice while we wait to see what Interplay does next with the Fallout universe.
