Level tier question

Humpsalot

Still Mildly Glowing
Tried to post this in a response to anther post but it was over looked.

Has anyone found out how the "skill check" works in FO3 yet? Such as lock boxes and computers, will run a check in increments of 5, 10, or 20?

For example, the bomb in megaton you need to have an explosive rating of 40 to disarm it. So are the tier 0-19, 20-39, 40-59, ect.

Or do you think it is in increments of 5 or 10? Or no increments? 40 was just an arbitrary number you need to be to disarm it? Could it just of easily been 43? In Oblivion the increments where in 25's.

Also what skills should I tag? How many tags am I going to get? I heard a long while ago that is was 3 like FO1/2? In Oblivion you got 4. Was thinking speech, lock picking, and something.

Don't double post. If people don't find your post interesting, another post won't make them find it more interesting.
Also, how the hell are people supposed to give gameplay advice on a game no one has played yet?

I waited a day or 2 to repost, but sorry. They can give opinions, this forum has never been short on opinions of a game they never played before, why not have one now?

They could answer something like "you should pick explosives as your third tag if you want to be a good person. Because then you can disarm the megaton bomb and that slaves neck thing" Or something along the lines of "There are a lot of computers in the game pick science" Which i would reply, "i was thinking of just getting science to 40, and pre-saving it before a computer try, 40 should give me 3 letters to go off of"

To be honest; no idea.
We dont even have any idea if skills are check based (40- repair means no go) or if it is going to contain some amount of luck/dice roll...
Then again we have never seen beth do/use a dice roll system...

It was still in the top 10 threads in this forum. Don't repost. Simple rule.

I don't think we even know exactly what all skills do, and we certainly don't know the extent to which it will be possible to use them ingame. No one does.
