Huh. The latter I think. Aradesh was descended from the Vault 15 population and Maxson was a grandchild of Captain Maxson, these two bloodlines have been sealed tightly in the bnkers and couldn't have had contact after the War.

Unless of course Maxson's mother is Aradesh's aunt who travelled to the Brotherhood and joined to become a Paladin

well didn't the U$ army oversee the vault constructions? cause if Maxson's father was in the army than perhaps he oversaw Vault 15's construction and "met" a young, dark, female vault dweller and left a little something there....

i say that maxson was cloned and his clone threw his original into the wastes and assumed command, then the original grew bitter, then soft, and decided to settle down and make babies. and towns. unfortunately he stopped at one of each. but he could have been great. at making babies, and towns. lots of babies and towns.

In the Fallout Bible it says that the same person did both of them, and that he designs all heads pretty much the same or something like that. It's definately coincidence though.
