First time out of the vault
hi all !

I created a FOT Rifles Sprites pack with over 100 sprites for use with FOT. I has already uploaded it to NMA , just wait for a admin to approve and it will be ready for download. :)

jus checked , it's a zip file. Is that what you talking about ? I zipped it to reduce the file size. :)

No there are no mods for other vehicles, the graphics can't be changed (beyond what came with the game) though you can extract the vehicle .ent file from entities_0.bos and use the entity editor in FT Tools to increase their action points.

you got download my rifles sprites pack ? is it ok , or does it sucks big time ? :)

2. There's no need to quote someone's entire post when there's no other posts in between.

3. Sorry, but there's nothing there I'd want to use. The images are all flat on, not only is this rather boring they just don't fit in with the default sprites or most other custom sprites. There wasn't really any need to make so many variants of the same rifle. At the size the images have to be to fit in the equipment slots you can't really see much difference between some of the variants, other than colour, and that can be done by changing the sprite's base colour. Also you might want to change the background colour before you make it transparent, some of the sprites looked like they had a slight white halo around them which could of been avoided by having a darker background.

Split and merged with appropriate thread. Next time it'll just get vatted.

3.The images are all flat on because 99% of the pictures are in 2D. :)
 
Yes I realise that, and that's the problem. The default sprites and majority of custom sprites are 3D, so 2D flat on images just don't fit in.

I know it's hard sometimes to find 3D, or 3/4 view, images that are Fallouty and on a neutral background but it makes so much difference to the final effect. It's why we call those type of images Fallouty after all.

Sorry, but I fail to see the point of making so many sprites of basically the same gun, when the differences between models is barely if at all noticeable at the size they are rendered. Some of the images are so small they get lost in the inventory screen and equipment slots.

Otherwise my same comments stand as with the rifle sprites, unless you're going to make 2d flat on images for every inventory item these don't fit in, and you need to get rid of the white halo effect.

Merged, there's no real need to keep starting a new thread for your sprite packs when you've uploaded them to NMA within days of each other.

1. when i saw your reply for my rifle sprites pack , i was already doing the handgun sprites pack , so i didn't really bother to cut down the numbers of handgun sprites. however my last shotgun sprites pack , which is still in progress , i had reduce the numbers of sprites tremendously. the smaller handgun sprites were reduced in size proportional to the bigger handgun sprites. eg. Colt 1911A1 ( full size pistol ) , Walther PPK ( compact size pistol ).

Otherwise my same comments stand as with the rifle sprites, unless you're going to make 2d flat on images for every inventory item these don't fit in, and you need to get rid of the white halo effect.

Merged, there's no real need to keep starting a new thread for your sprite packs when you've uploaded them to NMA within days of each other.

There's not really any need to do that, given the size ratio to the rifle images, it would be better to make them as big as possible IMHO.

Hmm I thought it was even more noticable with the handguns than the rifles.
