Mad Max delayed to 2015, "Magnum Opus" trailer

WorstUsernameEver

But best title ever!
Before you ask, what we're talking about is the Mad Max game from Avalanche, the Just Cause developers, and not the Tom Hardy's movie, Mad Mad: Fury Road, which already had a 2015 release date. The delay was quietly announced at the end of the title's latest trailer, Magnum Opus, which makes me wonder if the game's final subtitle will be Pimp my Max:

Thanks, FearMonkey.

I'm glad to see the focus on driving, actually, because it might set it apart from all the other post apoc titles. Also, it seems like the concept of a pre-order has gotten way out of hand lately.

RAGE had a lot of racing didn't it?
And while Borderlands is on a different planet with outside forces from non-apocalyptic planets invading and stuff the planet that they are on, Pandora, is post-apocalyptic since society has fallen apart for a variety of reasons.
So I wouldn't say it sets itself apart 'that' much just for having a focus on driving.

Never played Rage, so I wouldn't know. Borderlands has driving in it, but it's fairly incidental, IMO. It's mostly just what happens between the important bits. What I meant is, when I saw the Mad Max announcement, I thought, 'Why do we need what is probably yet another open world post-apocalyptic game, especially when it's the same IP that inspired everything we already have?' The other games aren't really ABOUT the driving, so that could make for a useful distinction. There's a difference between a racing game, and a game with racing in it. Considering how car-focused Road Warrior was, it would make sense...

Whether it sets itself apart 'that' much or not, I don't know, because I don't know what 'that' is. Not to mention, I haven't seen any actual gameplay, so I'm just hoping. Well, not so much hoping, since I don't plan to get this game, anyway...
