Mafia 2

I enjoyed the first Mafia game, especially the music. Hopefully they will steal a little from the Godfather game, it had some flaws but also a lot of stuff it did really well.
 
First one would easily make it into my top three games of all time. One of the most immersive games I've played. All the little details, like realistic driving, cars running out of fuel, cops pulling you over for speeding or running red lights and ability to just pay the fine without getting into chase.. Stuff like that just pulls me in the gameworld. I could just drive around with speed limiter on and still have fun with it. Until GTA4, Mafia even looked better than any GTA game to date and that's a game that came out in 2002, man I'm still in love with it.. Point being - there are plenty of areas for them to fuck up with the second one, given the trend of dumbing down nowadays so I'm trying not to get too excited yet. I thought I saw regenerating health in one of the videos too.
 
yup, regenerating health is there to make the game easier. but the gunplay still looks more or less realistic.
and i agree with the graphics, the first Mafia looked really awesome for it's time and looked way better than san andreas alhough it was released in 2002.
 
I've been waiting for this game for a long time, but haven't really followed development much. Thanks for the link.
