[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Nov-18-01 AT 11:58AM (GMT)[p]Ive played and finished Fallout 1 & 2. But the thing I really hate is the quests being so straightforward.
I mean the 2nd time around im just running around knowing the exact thing to do and its like a chore a bit.
The hardest quest i found was finding cornelius' gold watch in Modoc. At least it took me a bit to figure out, although I guess the 2nd time around it easy.
But what Im asking for is 2 things.
1. More complex quests, like the gold watch thing. Not like the gecko powerplant. I mean all you really need to do there is talk to people and they TELL you exactly what to do. And that reactor. The 9 planets backwards... not too complex.
2. More variety. When you replay the game your almost always faced with the exact same task so you just do what you did last time which makes it easy when you replay it. For example the gecko power plant, I mean every time Ive played it (unless im evil), its the same thing. Get hy mag, insteal hy mag, get data disk, use on vault city computer, optimize gecko power plant.
Because the game dosent really do wonders for replayiblity (ok, I know I spelt THAT wrong). You've really got to change yourself to change the game, like be evil. Now thats alright, but why cant the game change some things sometime so its not always the same chore of - go here, do this, talk to him/her.

The temple of trials is kinda fun in that since its the start you can take it many ways. The melee dude that kills everything in 1 hit. The sneaky dude, who if he ever gets in combat prays for a hit. Or the combat dude, but melee just aint his thing. Also the last guy, theres 3 ways to get past him. I always like fliping a coin for which one ill do (yes i know coins have 2 sides, but I dont fight him much cause thats only 300 exp.).
So something with a bit of difference like that.
Perhaps for the gecko power plant you could just get someone else to supply them the part. Or theres another part and it is lost somewhere in a random location in some abandoned cave. Theres lots of different ways it could be solved.
