Make you too Big Mutant Frank Follow you in your travels

It Wandered In From the Wastes
I discovered a mode to make Frank Horrigan Follow us in our travels. This is simple. Chose the criter Press. bod guard i think (frank image) and put his AI to the PARTY BRAIN BOT AGRESSIVE. Now, put the script of the brain bot (clik in the script button and press "w"). After that, you only need to click o him e tell him to follow you. Remember to edit his inventory after all, don't put stronger weapons or the game will be easy. Give him a Ripper and so much small energy cell. The only problem is: You can't talk with him after make him follow you, and can't put anymore itens on him, you can't use the steal option on him.

If anyone discover how to solve that problems. Post here.

ok.. for the last time... you do not need / cannot make horrigan into an npc.. he has a number and the scripts refference him by that number...

you CAN however, make one of the existing npc's LOOK like horrigan.... for example vic..
but you need to edit all 4-6 versions of that npc.. ( there is a different critter for each "level" of an npc, with improved stats and skills for when they go up a level with the player.. )

I'm glad to see someone with a clue AND patience to answer these types of comments... It's not so much that I gave up, but seeing you answer them properly sure saves me time :)

No Jack... I know that, but if you do what I say on the original post, Frank will follow you. But he will not be Frank, will be Skynet, but you cant talk, barter or steal him. Try your self.

this is because at the heart of it he is still frank horrigan..
you might be able to get some functionality by editing his prototype and settigng the flags to make him useable, talkable ( is that even a word?? ) and so on... at the moment he is not set to these things as you cannot talk to him.. he talks to you.. which is triggered by the scripts.....

if you edit the prototpe/s for any existing npc ( for example vic ) then he will still be vic at heart, and will trigger all of the vic things that he's supposed to ( like talking with vallery in vault city.. ) but you can change his artwork to be frank...

all the AI scripts do is govern how the critter reacts, like running away when hurt badly, or attacking you just because he dislikes you...

Yup, and in the case of party member it describes it's default behaviour (in ai.txt, as opposed to party.txt, which describes the available values you can assign to him)
