Making variations of critters/actors to appear in core game

For practice I'm fiddling around making variants of critters and actors that I would like to see populated in the game world without specifically hand-placing them.

Is there a list from which the game derives which critters to use at random times?

I'm speaking more about random encounters basically.

I want to make a variants of wolves and lizards and dogs, tribals etc to encounter.

Any help would be as always, greatly appreciated.
 
In the campaign.txt at the top are the random force definitions. Just follow the same format and add to the list, then import the list into the bos.cam using the campaign editor and then you'll need to define the map squares where the encounters might take place.
