Map building

First time out of the vault
I'm about to have a go at making a Hotel which has many rooms and lots of places to hide - i've drawn it out on paper and i think it's all set for production. It's going to be used for a multiplayer deathmatch but hopefully with npc monsters already in.

Does anyone have any cool tips or tutorials they'd like to point me in the direction when designing complicated maps?

Also if there's any suggestions about how i'd make any map be a lot more fun please let me know and i'll add it in :)

The setting is basically about a huge hotel being smashed up during the war and rival gangs fighting for control over it of it's ruins.

Just a few questions for now though:

Would i be able to put giant rats in the cellar somehow?
How many floors high/deep can i make this?
Can i make a few raiders already in the house to start with?

Thanks for any help and it's all very much appreciated a huge amount - feel free to try out my map when it's finished.

Not yes to all VF, the rats would have to be under the control of one player otherwise they'd most probably make the game go out of sync. Same with the raiders. I'm not sure what the upper level limit is, if there is one in the editor, but walking across the upper floors of a tall building can slow the game down. I'd try it first with six floors and see how it plays.

Whoops, looks like I should have read the question a little more carefully, sorry about that.
