Mash? I've a question about your HR patch

brother_soifran

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
Hello Match.
Scuse, I don't remember where is your thread about this I post a new one.
I've apply your patch to my mod and in french we could say:
"Putin ça a de la gueule !"
if macrae can translate this daily answer ;)
It means it's very nice to play in 1280*1024 to fallout.
But I encounter a small problem.
It seems that the blocker screen work differently?
I explain, I can move the map at the left part like in 640*480.
Is there a setting for that?
Look.
And thanks

Bro' Soifran

PS: The size's just to bore Lexx ;)
Hey Lexx ? where are you? Somewhere on the sea beach ? :)

And in normal resolution 640*480, the blocker working fine:

Sorry Brother Soifran, I not sure I understand the question your asking.

I had to disable the regular map blockers as they became unworkable at higher resolutions. To replace them I set up my own scroll blocking system. Details to which can be found in the readme under "Map edges".
One thing you'll find is they wont work well with the angled exit grids you've drawn in the first image as they only set rectangular edges.

Also I'm currently working on a new patch for the Official Mapper(mapper2.exe). In the next version it will be possible to set up the hi-res blockers via a menu.

If I totally misunderstood your question let me know and I'll try again. :)

Dear Brother Soifran,

you seem like a complicated person.
What does "Schuss" even mean?

Scuse is Essex slang for excuse me e.g. Scuse me Gov'nor, which way to the mine.

I know "Scuse", but he says "Schuss" and is French.

Edit: Also Scuse doesn't make sense in this context.

I beg to differ my good man:

Excuse me, but excuse me makes perfect sense at the beginning of every sentence, if you are English.

I'm terribly sorry, but I have no idea what Schuss is, maybe he made a typo in this thread.

edit. I found the scuss. My bad. What does that mean Bro? I want to know to:

No,no, it's exactly that.
Thanks.
I'll set the map edge.
Thank you for your work Mash.
Schuss

Brother Soifran

PS To the Vats

Gronichonha !
Schuss is a german expression for speed when you're skiing

schuss (shs, shs)
intr.v. schussed, schuss·ing, schuss·es
To make a fast straight downhill run in skiing.
n.
1. A fast straight downhill run in skiing.
2. A straight steep course for skiing.
[From German, shot, schuss, from Middle High German schuz, shot, from Old High German scuz; see skeud- in Indo-European roots.]

For me, a funny way to say goodbay quickly.
like Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote (road runner not the poor coyoyte ;) )

Schuuss

Bro' Soifran

Alright, this is all completely off topic, so I apologize.

Brother Soifran, you are a bit... odd! No offense intended though. :)

Btw, according to google you're the only person in the world who knows what "Gronichonha" means.

Thank you.
I don't know you but I already love you (but less than sister morticia fabulous brasilian !!! :) )

After asking to my lawyer Sir MCrae , he recommends me to give the short version.
So I copy paste his brother soifran langage translation for beginner:

MCRae said:
"Well, to keep it short, it's a reference to the French movie Taxi. A guy tries to pronounce the japanese word "konnichiha". But it quickly becomes a big mess : "Gronichonha".

*Gros = big

*nichon = french slang for "tits".

Litteraly, the guy wishes you a "very good day" ."

edit:I notice MACRae has forgotten the haaaaa, explaining the satisfaction :)
