Megamod 2.34 seems to turn of my in-game music

First time out of the vault
I can't explain how - i followed the instructions of the readme file to the letter - vanila fallout install on another harddrive, delete DATA folder, replace, uncheck + check all individual files inside critters and items folders, etc.

What the problem seems to be is that i get music for the intro scenes, music for the "come in, chosen one" elder intro, but no in-game music whatsoever. Sound is alright, but the usual klamath "tee-dee-dun-dun" or whatever you hear it like is gone. The thought that if this one thing doesnt function properly, other things may also not work, is chewing me.

I also have the rather famous "weather mod error - missing shaders" or whatever message in the lower left corner box when i load/start a new game, and I did as Morticia wrote in some post, deleted the nececarry files and now i dont receive the error message. However, i would much rather have the weather effects, so if some kind soul could help me on this matter, I'd be grateful.

Also on a sidenote- in Klamath there seems to be some gal in the trappers area whose trapper husband is cheating on her or smtg. Found some sort of a possible innuendo if you play a male char with 6+ CHA, but i need to bring a trinket of some sort. Just to sate my curiosity and save me some thinking, could i request a spoiler on this one?

Thanks

Open up fallout2.cfg in notepad and make sure your "music_path1="
points to where you have your music files.
mine looks like this: music_path1=e:\games\falloutMM\data\sound\music\

So does mine. I mean it is music_path1=D:\Fallout2\data\sound\music\ which is where my game is located. There are a total of 8 files inside the music folder. Still no music though. As i said, i have music for the intro movies. No music inside the game, however.

EDIT:
Found out a very curious thing - The music_path2= is set to the music folder located inside the fallout 2 disk. When i play the game with the disk, i can hear music normally. I do not understand this - i clearly remember i played megamod before without the disk and still got the music and everything.

One of the earlier versions of the Megamod did include all of those other music files. So, you would not have needed the disk. However, those files don't compress very well, and removing them from the download removed about 70 mb or so. You can copy those files over from the disk to that folder, though, and everything will still work fine.

As for the weather mod, I left the files in there for those who wanted to tinker with it. Truth be told, though, I never got it to work on my computer, either.

[spoiler:e20861018d] You need to bring Emily sweets (a cookie, one of the kids running around outside have one) or a trinket (makeup kit). After that you need to ask her what she wants and then give her a leather jacket. There may be a possibility to get her to work in the bath house as well, but I've not gotten to that yet[/spoiler:e20861018d]
