MegaMod Fails to Work

Prosper

Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
I unpacked 2.0
I unpacked 2.1.0 & Added them
I unpacked 2.1.1 & Added them

Everything is in their proper directories and folders. I also followed all the instructions in the read me file for this mod.

Upon, starting a new game I get a animated movie of the TeamX developers. All should be in harmony, yes?

No! As soon as I entered the temple entire screen goes black. And the graphics leave trails. Like the cursor......

I am absolutely fed up! All day long I been at it. Can someone tell me what to do?

First:
There's a thread about it. COMPLAIN THERE!

Second:
That problem has happened before. READ THE TOPIC ABOUT THE MOD!

Third:
That usually happens because users tend to not read the READ ME.

:ok:

When installed correctly, you will have inside your Fallout 2
directory a Data\data folder, data\maps, data\proto, et cetera, while the
main Fallout directory contains the executable, critter.dat, master.dat,
and the first Data folder mentioned above. If you have a patch000.dat
file, either delete it or rename it. The folder 'readme files' can go in
any location.

/??????
So inside the fallout2 folder
A data folder there lies
and inside that data folder place the DATA folder extracted from the mod?

or

So inside the fallout 2 folder
A data folder there lies
and inside that data folder place the subfolders within the data folder extracted from the mod.
\????????

or how am i suppose to do it????

The problem is I do not understand the readme. Thats why I been waisting all day on this.

Sometimes readme is not "user friendly", lot of technical stuff, lot of information... it can be complicated. Try this for example, extract mod to some other folder "C:\something" and then extract megamod patches 2.1, 2.1.1 to the same folder, overwrite if asked to. Make sure all mod folders have appropriate structure. A couple of times i extracted directly from winrar to fallout2 folder and made data\data\data without knowing it  and started the game, real mess i tell ya
Just copy all files from that "C:\something" folder to fo2 folder. Rename patch000, copy fo2mega*.exe to Black Isle\Fallout 2\... you know the rest.
This works only for fo2 u.s. version as i can tell...

Wow, that readme folder is one fat something, something  . I don't know what's gong on there, but readme says it all, took me about 25 min to read it. A lot of cool stuff i've found :lalala:
