MIB88 released an Update 6 for the Megamod, a handy-dandy compilation of various Fine Fallout 2 Mods. Download and install both and the earlier updates for the best experience.
You'll see this when it is posted in the readme file:

-Environmental Protection Agency version 1.01 by Chris Parks.
-A number of small fixes including:
No more random missed encounters on the worldmap
No more getting stuck in dialog with Myron
Being able to use the broken ladder in Klamath
No more problems seeing all of Slik's goods
A few other small map fixes

As for it being a standalone: no. You will need to install this over update 5. And previous saves will not work.

Update 7 will be a larger one. I will upload something so that only one download will be necessary, and the original Megamod and updates 1 through 6 can be retired.

Sweet. I think I'll hold out for the all-encompassing version 7, though, since it looks like installing all the mods thus far is a bit of a nightmare.

It takes longer to download them than to install them. Installation is just a bunch of simple copy-and-paste work. It takes less than ten minutes to install all of the mods, from the original up to 6.0. And it's really worth it for players that have long-since mastered standard FO2, since there are so many cool changes, it's almost like playing a different game. Actually, it's probably closer to FO3 than Betesda will get, LOL.

If you can't wait, you don't have to install all of them. You only need to install the files from updates 4, 5, and 6 into your Fallout folder.

Dunno, m8. Might wait for the v. 7 update all the same, having read through the megamod thread. What's the ETA on that badboy, anyhoo?

I am trying to get Scrapheap to work, but it is being difficult. I am also waiting on the Primitive Tribe mod, but that is Chris Parks's baby, and have no say on that aspect. However, I expect to have version 2.0 up by the end of the month.

Good job with the modding.
Looking forward for the file with all updates at once ;)
(i know it's the least that bother's you but is user friendly :P)

Say, did anyone fix the bug with the ghoul in the Gecko powerplant attacking everyone without a reason?

Wasn't that fixed in the official patch already ?
