There are news about the release of Akella's Metalheart: Replicants' Rampage (did I even put the apostrophe correctly?) for all you Britons, Scotsmen, Welsh and Northern Irish folk (as well as those throngs of Polish <s>flyers</s> plumbers), here's what we've got from Gamer's Hell: <blockquote>BASINGSTOKE, England (September 12th 2005) – Developed by Akella and distributed exclusively by KOCH MEDIA in the UK, METAL HEART: REPLICANTS RAMPAGE will release this month on PC CDROM priced at £19.99. This turn based, isometric role play game, strands the player on a remote planet, under the grip of a tyrannical corporate empire. Their goal is to return home, but as an outsider to an entire planet, things are not that simple.
After a freak deep space magnetic storm, Sheris Sheridan and Lanthan Signey find themselves catapulted and stranded on the unknown planet of Protion. Sole source of the super powerful combustible, Tactonium; Protion is a strategic asset in the galaxy and under the firm control of a tyrannical Empire, who has enslaved the entire population.
In order to escape the planets clutches, Sheridan and Signey must overcome many challenges and dangerous situations, ultimately uniting the four factions of humans, mutants, cyborgs and nomads in an attempt to overthrow the Empire and return home.
</blockquote>In addition, we learn that GamerDad has reviewed the game, calling it 'a commonplace Fallout facsimile', or something along those lines:<blockquote>The Fallout games are considered two of the best role-playing games ever, so it seems to make sense that games that clone the attributes of those games should be widespread but they aren't. Some games use certain aspects, but there have been precious few post-apocalyptic games made to date, none of which have used a turn-based combat system.
If this is what a 2005 follow-up to Fallout looks like, there probably won't be another. </blockquote>Also, they said the translation is repugnant.
