MIB88 Megamod and High Resolution Patch

First time out of the vault
Hello
Do you know how to play MiB88 megamod with High Resolution Patch? When i played restoration project with the resolution patch everything worked,but when i try this the SFall message shows up and says about wrong version. I tried to skip the compatibility check but i didn't worked. How to start them both? Deleting Ddraw doesn't help at alll,it makes the mod disable.

start with the exe from the official patch,that will allow both mods to work together,over-write the exe that comes with MM

I tried not the shortcut but the Fallout2.exe. It didn't help. You see,when i use f2res patcher to make the mod(high res) start it also makes that when i try to execute the fallout2.exe it shows a error about wrong compatibility,while without it it works just fine. The changing of f2res patcher makes the Sfall think of other versions.

i think you missunderstood,download the official patch,use the fallout2.exe from it,then install f2res,should work fine(its what i do)

edit : also make sure you have the latest version of sfall

And after all of them install the mib88 meghamod?
And btw,my version of f2 is 1.02. That is the latest or maybe i dont have latest information. I got f2 1.02,then i installed f2res,then mib88. Dont works

i have the same problem too, with a little searching from the board solve that problem

if you apply high resolution patch to fallout2.exe from vanilla (1.02 us) then add this in ddraw.ini
sfallExtraCRC=0xe348e17f

if you apply high resolution patch to fallout2.exe from megamod then add this in ddraw.ini
sfallExtraCRC=0xed141a65

thats the reason,install megamod first,then official exe,them f2res

with your current setup,get exe from the patch install it,then run f2res,should fix it

I did what Marlboro did,yeah,it worked!
But the screen of my fallout 2 isnt the custom like in megamod. Does it mean it doesnt work? As far i was unable to play because of lag!
My mouse is very slow,game looks like on a big lag,also the screen isnt custom,as i said. Is there a possible fix?
The sfall and megamod information is in the right corner,but the sreen is normal power armor face.

EDIT:
The whole thing i did i disabled dx9 mode(i didnt saw any difference between 8bit and dx9).i've setup the compatibility of windows xp SP3 and the thing Marlboroo said. And poof! Problems gone,i got high res and no longer mouse lag problem. Thanks alot!

it works okay, you only miss the main menu screen and team x short opening scene

to fix the main menu copy MAINMENU.FRM from data\art\interface\ and paste it into f2_res\interface\

to fix lag problem change graphics option dx9 in ddraw.ini to 8 bit fullscreen

btw to show map edges properly if using higher resolution open f2_res.ini and change an option to this MAP_EDGES_NAME=MegaMod242

btw all problem here have been answered in Megamod 2.4 Technical Issues and Suggestions thread by MIB88, nirran and others so you should check there first if found other problems :)

Yeah probably. My fault,and because i didn't just tried few options. I just simply named an error and searched the uncle google and the site. Thanks again

to keep the opening movie to teamx movie,open ddraw.ini and change Movie2=intro.mve
to
Movie2=car.mve

Can you please explain where to add this line exactly?

Also can you verify my steps:

1. I installed Fallout 2 (Gog.com).
2. I installed Megamod 2.44.
3. I replaced Fallout2.exe with the one from the Official 1.02 Patch.
4. I installed Fallout2 High Resolution Patch 4.0.2 (Am I supposed to keep the f2_res.ini that came with Megamod or replace it?)

5. I downloaded the latest Sfall (Do I replace the ddraw.ini file that came with Megamod or keep it?)

And finally I have no clue where exactly to add the line you mentioned in the ddraw.ini. Just at the bottom? Nothing happens. I still get the bad mouselag in some areas no matter what the screen settings are.

Many thanks in advance!
