First time out of the vault
Hello everyone. I am having serious troubles installing fallout 2 on windows 7 64 bit. After installing the game, without patches or mods I had problems with the colors that were messed up. The game worked but with the wrong colors. I installed MIB88 2.35.1 (following all the instructions), and the game did not work anymore. It appeared a message saying "failure initializing input devices".
Searching on the web, I found that some people solved the color problem simply copying ddraw.dll from Fallout 1 to 2.
After replacing the ddraw.dll I launched fallout 2 modded with MIB88 files, and everything seems to work perfectly.
The problem is that I have the ddraw.dll of Fallout 1, and not the one of the MIB88's patch. Will I encounter problems? Or I can play safe? I would like to avoid crashes later in the game. Is it ok or not? Thank you.
