Military Base force fields in TeamX patch

I'm using the teamX patch (version 1.3.2) for Fallout 1 and I've run into a problem:

Basically, when in the military base, using the repair tool on a yellow force field emitter does nothing, even if the message box tells me I've temporarily disabled it. My repair skill is at 82%. Basically, this is preventing me from reaching level 4.

I know there is a later version of the patch out, but I've already progressed far in the game and don't want to risk the savegames becoming incompatible so I wont get it unless I get a confirmation that they won't Any help is greatly appreciated

P.S. Another issue I've noticed (But that didn't bother me too much) is that whenever I'm taken to the mutant lieutenant (Such as when talking to Harry in Necropolis) Lou instantly attacks instead of entering conversation.
 
All those bugs are fixed in later patch versions. But if you'll install them, your savegames will become incompatible with new game version.

Darn! Any way to work around this? I've already used the computer on level 1 to turn the fields of once and can't do it again and I've killed Harry and the mutants in front of the base that would take me to the lieutenant so i can't do that.
 
As I recall there always was a way to reach Lt...

Download 1.3.4 patch, unpack it and copy all emiter*.int files into corresponding Fallout directory. This should do the trick.

Thanks for the tip, but shortly after posting the thread I decided that I wasn't satisfied with my character build anyway so I decided to uninstal the game, delete my savegames and then reinstall it with the 1.3.4 patch. Then I started a new game from scratch and am now again at the military base.

The good news is that the lieutenant will no longer attack immediately when I'm brought to him like he did in 1.3.2. The bad news is that the tools still don't work on the force field emitters like they should do. I'm going to try to get through anyway, wish me luck . 8-)
 
2Zoinker There are a bunch of methods for lowering MB fields in 1.3.4 patch. Almost everything was restored to normal work. Can you, please, e-mail me your savegame? wasteland_ghost AT mail DOT ru

Yeah, I finished the game yesterday by using the radio trick and the robot to destroy the level 4 force field (Thanks to Per Jorner's walkthrough). It's actually a much more convenient way than using the tools since it turns off all yellow force fields on a level.

I noticed two other glitches while playing though. First, using the radio from my inventory did not turn the force fields off even if the message box said it did (It worked if the radio was in a weapon slot. Neither works with the tools). Secondly (and this is rather minor) I noticed that if I damaged the robot on level 4 during combat with the mutants, I did not have to use repair on it to make it crash into the force field. I may be mistaken on this though.

I will send you a save game soon. I greatly appreciate the help so far.
