What brand of minis shoul I use for my PnP character? I was thinking that Warhammer 40k parts from Games Workshop, but was wondering if there were better parts, and brands.

If you were going to use gamesworkshop figs I'd use models from the necromunda range. They're more gang warfare related and closer to the fallout feel (there's even large supermutant and goul looking characters)...unless of course you wanted your character to wear some power armor then grab a few spacemarine figs and whip yourself up something shiney.
