Minigun ridiculous rate of fire?

First time out of the vault
First of all, sorry if this is the wrong area, anyway my issue:

The description of the Minigun states that the Rockwell CZ53 Personal Minigun is "A multi-barrelled chaingun firing 5mm ammunition at over 60,000 RPM."
Surely, this must be a mistake? Just to give you an indication: The minigun in New Vegas (Which seems to be the same type) has a RPM of 1200 and the real life Vulcan minigun has a RPM of 2000 to 6000.

Just to experiment I put the New Vegas minigun to 60,000 RPM and as expected the game lagged like hell when I fired for more than 1 second.

Anyone know if this is just a mistake?
My guess is that someone typed 60,000 but ment to type 6,000 or something like that, what do you think?

I think its a typo.

the 1000 round backpacks (from predator) would last 10 seconds or less at 6000 rpm. at 60,000 rpm, the backpack would be empty in .10 of a second (unless my math is off)

A 1000 rounds would take 1 second with 60,000 rpm I think:

60,000 rounds per minute divided by 60 (seconds) = 1000 rounds per second. (Or you can also ofcourse just remove one zero.)

But yeah, still ridiculous, just imagine holding a weapon that shoots a 1000 rounds per second.

Yeah, a big problem with machineguns is that the barrels melt.

With an M249 on cyclic (which there is really no reason to use), you can shoot maybe 5 minutes before you have to swap the barrel
