missing characters revisited

i dont have any characters showing including my own squad villagers and enemies. they dont show up even in the character creation page where you select your stats and there is a little box wherer you can rotate the character. i consulted the other post and found out that following folders are missing in my core folder.
min_tile_set
sprites
tiles
