First time out of the vault
Hello hello, you hose-nosed caffeine goblins, you. :puppy-dog:

I know it's "too early" to consider it seriously, so let's consider it whimsically:

Assume for a moment that Beth's gone the, "thanks for your years of hard work, TES-modding community, but now that we've got bigtime $'s we don't need you no more, scat," route, and a construction kit specifically for Fallout 3 is never to result from their charity. Is there then a chance at all of Oblivion's construction kit being modded to achieve some basic compability with Fallout 3? Or alternatively some kind of go-between interpreter, or companion tool, etc?

Just curious, curious. 8-)

Bye.

I actually suspect that it may be possible to load the ESM into Oblivion if it were proper sanitized and then reexported. The file format did not actually change that much apparently according to some posts by timeslip and others. I think it would quite a long time to get it working so that the average modder could make content though.

Bethesda probably wouldn't be very happy about it though. It would likely encourage Oblivion content in Fallout and vice versa which they have very strong stance against that sort of thing.

I'm going to guess enough has changed that it would be necessary to do a lot of work on Oblivion's CS to make it work. Simple point of fact is weaponry, Oblivion only had bows which only needed a few things determined as far as attributes. Now there's a variety of ranged weapons using different kinds of projectiles (ballistic, hitscan, arced, etc).
