Models and armors

Lived Through the Heat Death
MoldyCheese asked in the BIS feedback forum if the weapons in Fallout3 are going to have their own models, Damien "Puuk" Foletto replied:

Yes, weapons have their own models

This was followed by a very interesting post by J.E. Sawyer:

All weapons in the VB engine have their own models and all weapons with accessories have models for every combination of accessory that can go on it. If (for example only) you made a .223 assault rifle and it could have an extended clip and a scope, there would be a normal version, scoped version, clip version, and scope + clip version.

It was also asked if NPC's reflect their armour types , with Damien "Puuk" Foletto saying yes, as expected.

Nice. I guess this kind of makes the Awareness perk obsolete though, at least to the experienced gamer.

I'd beg to differ. The increadibly vague health status shown without the Awareness perk is increadibly annoying. How do you know whether or not you should burst or call shot?

I agree with Bradylama.
And with this perk (if it will be based on medical skills. umm... it was disscused somewhere at the nma already) you will be able to say what is opponent's limbs condition and possibly what chems he used before combat.

As for main post. Good to see they thinked about such details. I just hope FO3 wont need uber-speed-nasa-computers that are only ones speed enough to support this game.

I expected no less than this. It's about time BIS started implementing things that are standard in modern games.
