Hey all, new poster here. Still haven't played Dead Money. Just wanted to make a thread for scenes made more awesome with music. I've been using OldManMose's Secret Stash: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37029
One of my favorites had to have been setting out after Primm on a dark morning with "Johnny, Remember Me" playing. I had just gotten the weird courier speech with Johnson Nash, and had this really ominous feeling about the quests ahead. (I'd get way sidetracked with all the NCR stuff anyway.)
The most awesome scene had to be the Omertas quest, though. I'll kind of dramatize this description. I was doing it for the first time and had opted to help Cachino get rid of Big Sal and Nero. Even though I wanted to just walk in and shoot them, I went for the legitimate meeting option and had Cachino armed and ready to fire on my signal. I didn't realize how vulnerable I'd feel taking a seat on the couch, though. So "Be Sure It's True" by the Ink Spots is playing, and we're goign through the meeting, and I'm passing speech checks left and right...finally, I go for the option that makes Big Sal attack Nero, and everything just fucking goes to hell. I take fucking forever to get off the couch and reach for my weapon, and meanwhile Nero has dropped Big Sal and has started ripping into Cachino, who's getting really low on health. Finally I jump up, pull out a fucking riot shotgun and turn Nero to pure pulp; Cachino has one bar of health left. RIGHT AT THE SECOND NERO DIES, "Ring-a-ding-ding" by Frank Sinatra comes TEARING out of the radio, and to dramaticize it, it's like I look at Cachino and he looks at me, and we realize we've just won the fucking game. It flashes over his face that he's going to RUN THE FUCKING CASINO now and here I'm sitting, having helped him narrowly evade death, riot shotgun still smoking, and Frank Sinatra's opus screaming out with the passion of a thousand suns. And it was all made perfect by the 20-foot arc of streaming, golden shit that erupted from Cachino's joyful anus.
What are some moments in your experience made better with music?
