they sucked in both fallouts and there werent enough of them, if it means having fallout3 taking up 2 or more CDs, then do so, it would be worth it, have more cut scenes
FMV is the biggest waste of time for a developer, aside from jacking-off. It often overshadows the game and costs valuable time in development. FMV is not necessary and should be used sparsely, as in the previous games.
I agree with Doyle. While FMV might be "cute", it's not really needed. Also, the more FMV you have, the more scripted and linear the game will have to be. After all, you have to assume the player did certain things when you make a video for it.
FMV might be a waste of time for the most part, but I gotta have my game introductions! The intro for Fallout was just pure genius. The television, the commericals, to gradual pullback to a view of a ruined city, the inkspots singing "Maybe"? *Sniff* I can feel the memories flooding right now. FMV is not always a waste of time!(Although I will admit it's overused)
