First time out of the vault
A couple more questiona about the Gecko/Vault city quest:

1. How do you go about properley optimizing the reactor. I have the disc and have got McClures permission to do it but cant work out where to put the disc in the vault.

2. Is there anymore to do with the Brain rat other then it asking you to fix the reactor, do you get anything out of him?
 
1. if i remember correctly, the computer on bottom level of the vault (the one which gives you location of Vault 15) will automatically ask you to insert the optimization disk when you use it. just use it normally and it should offer the optimization if you have disk in your inventory. i'm not sure if you need any intelligence or science skill for this.

2. nope, that's one useless rat. you can kill him and get vilified in Gecko if you want.:)
 
Be careful if you optimize the plant. Doing so actually brings a bad ending to Gecko while fixing the plant and leaving it unoptimized keeps vital information away from the Vault City bastards which keeps the Ghouls happy.

What? Ratty, are you seriously calling for the demise of one of our own? Oh wait, yeah that guy is useless... Stomp him good for me! And rename the temple in honor of Ratty and Ozrat!

maybe so but for 3,5k xp whitout even going in combat i would do almost anything. okay i am a cheap bastard
