According to this Gamespot article, here are a few more details on the Xbox port of Out Run 2...
Microsoft is going to publish it in the US... not unlike when MS published the Xbox port of Shenmue 2 stateside...
A firm release date is set for mid October, confirming an EBgames.com product page set up right here- on a side note, the page also lists the publisher as 'MICROSOFT XBOX'. Did they know something that we didn't know?
Oh, and the first preview, I take credit for it. 
Live multiplayer will support up to 8 players at once- the arcade version supported only 4 players at once.
The EBGames product page also mentions that the Xbox game will have 16 Ferraris to choose from- the arcade version had only 8. Will the F355 Spyder and the 550 Barchetta make it in? I hope so!
My frothing demand for this game increases by the day. 8)
