Dear Fallout Fans-

Has anyone know much about a game called the Morrow Project and whether it will be developed into a computer based role playing game.

What little I know is this- the Morrow Project is based on time line in which small groups were "frozen" in storage to reemerge after a nuclear apocalypse. This apocalypse occurrs at the end of the 20th century. they emerge some years later (I think its like 150 years) and are supposed to help rebuild society.

The game was originally designed by Timeline Inc or perhaps the Game Design Workshop, but the designers stopped publishing modules and the game more or less vanished despite a number of attempts to revive it. It was recently purchased by Abacus Dimensions who are re-releasing and advancing the game. There is a site with lots of player feedback at

Has anyone else heard of this? Or if they are making this into a computer based game?

Yes, it was strictly paper, pen and dice. Lots of interesting characters and ideas, and much of the technology was pretty much 20th century. I didn't play but I knew people who did and really got into it. Not your strictly slash and bash rpg but more like a problem solving game.

I recently contacted Abascus about this and whether they were planning to make a computer based RPG. This was the response-

The short answer is maybe. TimeLine Ltd. is a mid-sized RPG publishing company but does not have the resources to delve into the computer gaming market. We may do something like you describe in the future or we may license the name and concept to a company with greater experience in that arena.

I hope that has answered your question.

Thank you for your interest in our products.

Never played it but ran across several sites devoted to the RPG. There were several other interesting RPG's in the past that might translate well to CRPG's. Hopefully someone will have sense enough to try doing it.
