Has anyone checked out Mount and Blade yet? Its an independently developed medieval mercenary em up thats currently in a sort of beta / play before you pay kind of deal - It's pretty rough around the edges but the mounted combat is very enjoyable, and hopefully it'll be expanded into more of a CRPG. Worth trying at least as a free download.

Mind you, I seem to recall there being a thread on this (or, at least, a rather similar game) already, but I cannot find it.
 
Resounding meh.

I was suggesting that if he was going to post something about a game, at least provide a link to more info. Unless it's in developement, and there's no info to be found. He's trying to sell us on it remember, I don't wanna work to find out anything about it.
 
The combat (particularly mount-based) is pretty cool and actually addictive, but the game is too slow and too lacking in content to be a lot of fun. The dueling arena is good for a few hours of brawling, though.

I think there was a post about this in the news comments a few weeks ago (maybe longer)

Basically they were saying how shitty the game was
 
Mount & Blade beta/demo

I been playing this game a lot lately, its pretty fun, but still in beta, so a lot of stuff is missing.

The game is nowhere close to being finished, but HIGHLY moddable, with a lot of potential. There's already like 4-5 very large mods out, and it is not even a finished game yet.

Some learning curve involved.
