Hey, I am by no means a software guy. So I was hoping someone out there has done what I want. From the Original fallout, I want a playable "mpg, avi"... of the Cathedral destruction.

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
You need to extract the movie file from the master.dat file (on the fallout CD) using a a dat extrtacter.

I cant rember hte name of hte file but it will likely be something like Cathedril.MVE
The movies in fallout are in a format called *.MVE and you will need to convert this to an AVI file so that you can play it in Windows
MVE to AVI
Once you have it in AVI format you should be able to use another converter to make a MPEG movie (use google to find one)

FO2 uses the MVE format where as FOT uses BIK, you can donwload "rad Game tools" here from NMA (use the search function or google for it).
FO2 uses DAT files where as FOT uses BOS files, on the upside the BOS files are just Winzip files with the extension changed, so you can use WinZip to open them.
