Music in Fallout 2

W_E

First time out of the vault
When I play Fallout 2, there's no music in-game. However, there is in Fallout. So, I have to make sure; is there music in Fallout 2? (apart from that little sound clip in the casino in Redding, and movies of course).

Uhm... Make sure that the path is set correctly: it should point either to the CD or the directory on your hard drive, looking something like this in the config file:
Code:
music_path1=C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Fallout 2\data\sound\music\
music_path2=E:\data\sound\music\
in case you've done a medium to full install or
Code:
music_path1=E:\data\sound\music\
music_path2=E:\data\sound\music\
in case you've done a small one.

If the config file points to your hard drive (case no. 1) , make sure that the *.acm files (e.g. 01hub.acm and so on) are there. If necessary, copy them from the CD.

Oh, and the answer from your question: Yes, there are music tracks in F2.

Alright, thanks a lot! For some reason the reinstall I did when I got the CD didn't overwrite the config file from the old kazaa download install. Strange.

Don't mention it. But you'd best not go around boasting a p2p download of Fallout. Or any other game.
